“Many of the chronic ailments afflicting us as we age have multiple origins and a common factor: oxidative stress.

Oxidative stress is the result of an imbalance between excessive numbers of oxidized molecules and weakened natural anti-oxidants.

Oxidative stress leads to the rapid breakdown of protein and the hyperoxidation of lipids, causing the breakdown of cellular membranes and inflammation, and finally DNA mutations likely to result in cancer.

The immune system cells are the most likely to be affected, leading to the weakening of natural defenses against infections, cancers and auto-immune ailments (diabetes, multiple sclerosis, etc.).
It is thus vital to protect oneself with antioxidants and immunostimulants, and to go beyond vitamin intake.

Immun’Âge®, a yeast-fermented papaya product, is easily ingested and has proven to have remarkable antioxidant and immunostimulating properties.

Even though all these properties have yet to be explored, the preventive effect of Immun’Âge® has been proven for common ailments, particularly throat infections, as well as for serious infections such as AIDS. Studies conducted in Ivory Coast have demonstrated the ability of Immun’Âge® to boost the immune system.”

“Numerous hygiene precautions could protect us but we could also reinforce our immune system.”

Nobel Prize in Medicine 2008, Prof. Luc Montagnier found a real interest in fermented papaya (FPP®).

“There are, for example, natural immunostimulants such as fermented papaya that I use regularly as prevention.

In case of the flu, it is important to treat our own respiratory mucosa, which becomes more susceptible to viral infection in cold weather and when exposed to chemicals. In this case, the fermented papaya preparation could stop virus penetration.”

2003 Interview, Paris – National French Television France 2

“I met the manufacturers of this product (Immun’Âge®) for the first time at a conference on AIDS in Yokohama, Japan in 1994.

I speak as a scientist who is studying this product and its actions that contribute to improving the health of patients with very serious diseases such as Parkinson’s disease and, in particular, cancers.

The fact is that the papaya fruit contains many vitamins and antioxidants that have very positive effects, but the rest of the plant contains substances, such as papain, that can be toxic in high doses.

However, the product I am talking about is a papaya extract fermented by yeast for several months so some of the fresh fruit elements have disappeared while others have emerged. It is the same difference as between fresh grape juice and wine.

The final product has many active compounds, and only the result matters, i.e. the immunostimulant and antioxidant effects. What is important is that this could reduce the frequency of the diseases which kill us. “

Senior Director, Osato Research Institute
Head, Hematology Institute, Wolfson Medical Center, Jerusalem, Israel

“I feel honored to be a senior director at the Osato Research Institute.
I assumed the position because Mr. Hayashi is one of my longtime friends, and I fully appreciate his idea of reducing medical costs in our aging society, which is the main reason why ORI was established.

I have been interested for years in congenital and acquired hemolytic anemias where oxidative stress plays a major pathophysiological role.

This is how I became involved in studying the effects of FPP® (Fermented Papaya Preparation), which is a very unique food capable of adjusting oxidative stress within a living organism with a concomitant increase in antioxidant enzymes in the body such as gluthatione (GSH).

I think that FPP® can be used alone or in combination with other medicines to treat a variety of disorders where oxidative stress plays a role.

I have used FPP® to treat patients with  and was able to show an improvement in their oxidative stress parameters (Amer J et al. “Fermented Papaya Preparation as an antioxidant in blood cells of beta thalassemic mice and patients.” Phytotherapy Research. 22:820-828, 2008).

I am planning to extend the studies with FPP® to other disorders such as diabetes, arteriosclerosis, neurodegenerative disorders, and more. (…).”

“ORI is a very unique research institute. It is a great inspiration to see how ORI is not only involved in international research but also in charity activities supporting, for example, the Japanese office of the World Foundation for Aids Research and Prevention and other social activities for local children.

The sole focus of our research is FPP® (Fermented Papaya Preparation) and famous scientists from all over the world have been cooperating with us as members of the ORI Scientific Board, to scientifically prove with clinical data FPP®’s effects on the immune system adjustment and its mechanism of involvement in our internal redox systems.

We have members of the board in different fields, in different countries, and each of them communicate their research findings on FPP® in international academic conferences and ORI scientific committee meetings. This genuine communication of research results allows open discussion on the potential and direction of future research.

Our director, Dr. Pierre Mantello, spearheads FPP® research in Europe and has been introducing FPP® as an effective food supplement for alternative healthcare in France and Italy.

His efforts have made FPP® accessible for many people who need it. Although FPP® is made in Japan, our research results are still behind when compared with the splendid research results in Europe. I would like to launch an initiative for new research projects in Japan to enhance our study.”

“For centuries, the quest for eternal youth has been one of the main human preoccupations.

Even though nobody has found the solution, scientific progress in the twentieth century has doubled people’s life-span.This longevity is now in accordance with the 100-to-120-year-long life-span programmed in the human genome.

Scientific progress has also resulted in new pathologies due to environmental changes such as pollution, different habits, and new ways of life. However, what is the point of living to 120 if we have to endure degenerative diseases that cause us to lose our intellectual and/or physical abilities.

If the twentieth century has given us a longer life-span, then the twenty-first century should procure a long and healthy life.

The best quality of life for all of us – that is the aim of the Osato Research Institute. FPP® is the fruit of all our anti-aging research.”

French Television Interview, Canal plus JBN

” Immun’Âge® is the first protective food supplement that stimulates both our physiological defense systems, namely the immune system that protects us against environmental attack (pollution, anxiety, fatigue, headaches, etc. ) and the antioxidative system that fights free radicals.

Excess free radicals generate a real syndrome due to harmful habits, such as smoking, alcohol, an unbalanced diet, etc., diseases or pollution. Stimulating these two systems, which do decline with age, allows us to fight the effects of aging.

The properties of our natural food supplement are due to an exclusive fermentation process of papaya, or FPP®, produced at the Osato Laboratory Inc..”

Video interview – 2003 in Gifu Japan

We studied the FPP® in our university, and we have noted that it has properties on the antioxidant system, and that is causing a large increase in the immune system.

The production of substances by the immune system such as nitric oxide is significantly improved by the FPP®, which helps the immune system of the body.

Since his widely reported presentation on the antioxidant network to The United Nations and World Health Organization First Joint Conference on Healthy Aging, Dr. Packer has sought to address a more general audience.

The Antioxidant Miracle, published in 1999 by John Wiley & Sons, is his first book for non-scientists.

When Scientific American needed a widely recognized authority to write an article on vitamin E for their inaugural Scientific American Science and Medicine issue, they invited Dr. Packer. Recently he has been interviewed by Time, Newsweek, The New York Times, and ABC News.

Prof. Lester Packer has an unmatched scientific record on antioxidants, now considered key components in achieving healthy aging and extending human life.
